The trial involves the use of Airware’s self-service bag tag appliances, integrated seamlessly with the JetBlue mobile app to allow travellers to tag their bags in under 20 seconds. This technology enables a fully autonomous check-in experience, offering JetBlue customers an intelligent, mobile-first solution that simplifies one of the most time-consuming aspects of air travel.

Chris Hurley, co-founder of Airware, was on-site to witness the inaugural use of the system. “We are very excited to work with the JetBlue team to enable a fast and simple bag drop experience within the JetBlue mobile app,” he said. “Customers in our first U.S. airport embraced the new service enthusiastically.
